Synopsis
Sleepy Pine Cove is abuzz with Christmas spirit, but Lena Marquez is fed up with her despicable ex-husband, Dale Pearson. On his way home from playing Santa Claus at the local lodge, Dale catches Lena trespassing on his property and stealing pine trees for the less fortunate. He threatens her with a gun and in self-defense she lashes out with her shovel and accidently kills Santa Dale. Young Josh Barker is convinced that he has witnessed the jolly old elf’s violent demise, and he prays for a miracle to save Christmas.
To Lena’s rescue comes Tucker Case, a very handsome and slick reformed Casanova who works part time as a DEA Helicopter pilot. He gives her an alibi and charms her off her feet at the same time. The Town Sheriff, Theo Crowe, suspects foul play, but is blackmailed by Tucker who has discovered that Theo has been cultivating marijuana to make some additional Christmas money to buy his ” B” movie star and psychotic wife Molly a special gift.
Meanwhile, there’s a new arrival in town: the glowingly blonde moron from above, The Stupidest Angel. Raziel the Dim turns the town upside down trying to achieve his nativity miracle and to find some Diet Coke to bring back to heaven.
The storm of events engulfing Pine Cove as Christmas Eve approaches is matched by the fury of an El Nino racing in off the Pacific. Molly has kicked out Theo, Lena has issues with Tucker, and Theo has met the Angel Raziel (he ran him over) and is fully freaked out. He believes he is experiencing a real version of the “Terminator”. The party starts, storm clouds gather, and Raziel connects with young Josh and grants him his wish, literally raising dead Santa and all of the other dead and decayed family members of Pine Cove. Can this small town of dysfunctional misfits come together to defend Pine Cove and themselves against their re-animated “zombified” relatives?
